Our Blog

We’re proud to partner with Zamagias Properties, Hometown Property Management Services and PPM Real Estate to help bring The Keppel Building to life.

The Candy Factory, our coworking space was housed out of The Keppel Building for four years so it was a real pleasure to brand and market the rehabbing of a building we treasure. This iconic downtown fixture has been turned into residential and commercial space on the 300 Block of North Queen Street.

We had the pleasure of working with Steve Palmer to open Rock Candy located in Pod 2 of Rock Lititz. This 2400 square foot coworking space is ideal for small businesses, remote workers and others looking for a great community and cool workspace in the Lititz area. Click here for details.

The residents and staff of Landis Communities would like to wish you a joyful holiday season. Team members and residents were asked to write poems reflecting on the year of 2016 and the feelings evoked by the wintery season. This video features two of those poems, which were chosen for Landis Communities’ 2016 Christmas Card.

May your holidays be bright!

“Maybe ‘twas in awe

Of the babe asleep on straw.

Could be his perfect nose and ears

And fingers—brought her tears.”

—from poem by Jim Leaman

“The warm illumination of the miniature tree, a gift from a caring life enrichment staff,

the slippers  shared with love, a gift from a CNA,

the prayer given to comfort, the gift of a pastoral visitor.

The many loving hands that hold hers in the middle of the night, a gift of time never to be returned to them.”

—from poem by Leone Wagner

Together, Molly and Jason Mundok offer a comprehensive resource for consultants, freelancers and entrepreneurs. From time management to technologies, Elusive Moose is committed to helping you overcome the challenges that prevent you from truly enjoying your work.

We we’re tasked with creating the organization’s branding, intuitive, easy-to-use website, social media strategy and implementation. The stylized, modern website allows users to quickly browse a variety of curated articles, podcasts and digital media. DSC_2458Recognizing the vital role that nutrition plays in the lives of children, Power Packs Project supports area youth by providing low-cost meals to families. By empowering children and serving their health and nutritional challenges, youth are prepared to excel in school and serve the broader community. In accordance with the Lancaster Osteopathic Health Foundation, the Power Packs Projects enhances “child mental resilience, physical health and health habits” while “strengthening parenting as a way to promote the healthy mental and behavioral development of children.”

Did you know that over 58,000 Lancaster County residents are food-insecure? In fact, 1 in 5 children suffer from food insecurity, a 57% increase from 1990. To combat this alarming statistic, Power Packs Project distributes 3 weekend meals to 1,600+ families in 14 school districts totaling in more than 600,000 meals per year.

DSC_2453The Sweet Core was tasked with creating a donor/volunteer brochure highlighting the ways in which the community could get involved. We created a custom infographic, stylized icons and organized content flow.

When not busy designing and managing projects for our wonderful clients we’re busy working on projects for The Candy Factory, our coworking space located in Lancaster, Pa.

From our coworking zine to space design, marketing materials and merchandise we’re never short for fun and interesting projects. Our most recent merchandise project are labels for our custom coffee blend called Bridge Mix. This amazing blend is locally roasted and blended by the historic Gerhart Coffee Company and it tastes as good as it looks!

We take our coffee seriously around here and our design is no exception. We hope you enjoy our labels as we much as we enjoy our coffee.

We’re always up for a challenge, and for the fourth year in a row we were given the task to create a unique and personalized digital holiday greeting for Landis Communities.  Landis Communities offers support to Lancaster’s older adults and dependent-living community guided by joy, compassion, integrity and stewardship.

We were challenged to do something different and fun that kept with the Christmas spirit. It took a lot of brainstorming, sketching and reworking, but we feel this vintage stop-motion card was the perfect complement to this amazing organization.

After our planning was complete, we hand drew and crafted each piece, including the type. The scene and characters were brought to life with over 700 individual frames stitched together and edited to create the final piece.

The vibrant characters and stylized landscape capture the nostalgia of the season through its vintage aesthetics and warm message.

We were delighted to work with the Landis Communities team again this year on this special project. You can check out the full video and images of our process below!
